In the upcoming Netflix four-part documentary series Night Stalker: The Hunt For a Serial Killer, premiering January 13, the viewer is taken on a wild ride alongside two brilliant detectives as they meticulously investigate a multitude of crime scenes that at first appear to be unrelated. Top-notch police work and dogged persistence will eventually connect these crimes and bring Richard Ramirez, one of the most notorious serial killers in American history, to justice but police will have to solve a string of crimes before they can stop a murderer.
Director Tiller Russell does a magnificent job of unraveling this tightly-knotted mystery and he does so by weaving together chilling first-person interviews with victims Ramirez allowed to live, as well as the family members of those he chose to ruthlessly kill. Russell also sprinkles in a recorded interview the Night Stalker gave from prison where he talks about his life and how he became a monster.
