Columbine Goldsmith is a fashion photographer and director based in both Los Angeles and New York.
She started her career as a fashion photographer working for clients, such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, NYT, and i-D. After moving to Paris, she started experimenting with video and directed her first short film in collaboration with NOWNESS, which later made its premiere on Dazed Digital.
After her cheeky video featuring Kendall Jenner reading from a Mean Girls-inspired “Burn Book” went viral, Columbine moved onto larger commercial ventures. She shot commercials for global brands, including Google, Sony, Dior, L’Oreal, Zara, H&M, Clinique, Spotify, Hermes, and Tiffany & Co among others. She continues to do portrait and fashion photography for magazines such as Vogue, Porter, Elle, and others.
Featuring characters that move in an unknown time and place, Goldsmith’s videos maintain a witty and slightly bizarre feeling wrapped in beautiful imagery. Her protagonists tend to be the irreverent ones in the world and are explored through intimate vignettes.
