Jim Longden is a 24-year-old filmmaker. He left school at the age of 16 to explore the world of street photography, leading to shooting editorials for Vogue and Love Magazine.
Jim harbored a desire to make films since childhood, initiating his journey by writing short stories at home and in school. From the scripts and stories he penned between the ages of 20 and 22, he compiled a book of short stories titled ‘Memoirs of a Balloon.’
Jim premiered his first short film, ‘To Erase A Cloud,’ at the age of 20, followed by ‘Don’t Look At Me’ a few days after his 22nd birthday, and his most recent short film, ‘Puddle of Muddles,’ at 23. These three films are slated for release on Nowness soon. Jim served as the director, producer, writer, composer, editor, and casting director for all three projects.
Having firmly established himself as a narrative filmmaker, Jim has expanded his creative endeavors into the realms of music videos. His debut music video was for his close friend Jaxxon D. Silva, featuring the song ‘Crack in the Mask.’
Currently, Jim is in the process of developing his debut feature film, scheduled to enter production in 2024.
