Bryce Dallas Howard is an actor turned director whose transition into the world of episodic and commercial filmmaking has been met with award-winning results. Most recently, she directed an episode of The Skeleton Crew, as well as three episodes of Disney+’s The Mandalorian, which sits at 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. She has also lent her creative eye to The Book of Boba Fett as the director of episode 5, titled “Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian”.
Bryce made her documentary directorial debut with Dads, which premiered at TIFF and was released on Apple TV on June 19th, 2020. Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Justin Wilkes produced under Imagine’s new banner, Imagine Documentaries. Dads is a unique and humorous look at what it truly means to be a father across the globe. The doc features appearances and interviews from Will Smith, Jimmy Fallon, Judd Apatow, and many more. Her short film When You Find Me was shortlisted for an Oscar and her 2016 short Solemates premiered at Sundance.
In the commercial space, Howard has directed campaigns and projects for VW, Moroccan Oil, Vanity Fair, Glamour, MTV, Sony, and Lifetime. In 2023, she directed a branded entertainment short film for Coca-Cola’s anthology series, The Santa Stories. Her film, The Note, won Best Episodic Series at Tribeca X and took home an ANDY award for Craft.
Onscreen, she can be seen in the 2024 spy action comedy Argylle, the Netflix series Black Mirror, Rocketman which premiered at Cannes in 2019, and Jurassic World Dominion. Her production company is Nine Muses Entertainment.
