About

Known for her dreamy aesthetic and affinity for counter-culture, Lacey Duke creates worlds that capture beauty with an edgy and fresh sensibility and has a flair for fostering organic performances that illustrate authentic facets of the black female experience.

Lacey has created visuals for notable artists including Janelle Monáe, SZA, Bryson Tiller, and H.E.R, the latter receiving a 2019 NAACP nomination for Best Music Video and a VMA nomination for Best R&B Video. She was also the recipient of the 2019 Prism Prize for Special Achievement for her contribution to music video art.

Lacey’s commercial credits include CoverGirl, Pantene, Samsung (starring Issa Rae), and Netflix’s Emmy-nominated promo “A Great Day in Hollywood” featuring Ava DuVernay, Lena Waithe, and Spike Lee, among others. Lacey has since expanded to the world of narrative filmmaking, making her television directorial debut on OWN’s award-winning series, Queen Sugar.

Lacey is a Toronto native, currently based in Atlanta, Georgia.
