Omar Jones was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Jamaica, Queens. He later moved to the Poconos, where he attended high school and college and fell in love with cameras. Afterward, he moved back to New York City to pursue filmmaking.
He worked his way up as an editor and VFX artist at an early age, taking on odd jobs around the city to make ends meet. During COVID, he relocated to Los Angeles, continuing to build his craft and expand his work behind the camera.
